Basketball Development Levy

From 1 January 2025, Basketball New Zealand (BBNZ) will collect a National Levy to help improve basketball across the country.

How much will you pay?

  • $5 for players aged 14 and under

  • $10 for players aged 15 – 19

  • $15 for players aged 20+

You'll pay this fee once a year when you sign up for your team, no matter how many teams or competitions you play in.

What will the money be used for?

  • Building better basketball facilities

  • Training coaches and referees

  • Supporting basketball programs in our community
