MENS D GRADE WEEK 8

RuffBallers are on a 8-0 winning streak after holding off a competitive Hot Shots team in Week 8 in the second round of Mens D-League last night at South West Stadium.

MENS AB GRADE WEEK 8

Week 8 of the Mens AB grade kicked off last at South West Stadium. Men's A-Grade All Stars Youngstudz (6-1) and Victoria (6-1) are top-of-the-table equals after their respective wins last night. Meanwhile, All Stars Youngsterz have maintained their unbeaten record (7-0) in the Men's B-Grade division after their win over The Crew.

WOMENS GRADE WEEK 7

Women's Grade action for Week 7 got under way last night under another hot South West Stadium. The Heat Storm (5-2) have maintained their lead of the AB women's table while with a close 46-38 finish over All Stars Comeback Queens (4-3). Morehu (6-1) also maintained their top-of-the-table status with a close 45-37 win over Outsiders (4-3) in the Women's C-Grade.

WELLINGTONS OWN DION PREWSTER MAKING AN IMPACT

Lead-by-example Prewster giving Ravens big contributions

Only playing basketball for about the last four years, Dion Prewster has made Anders Gym a steppingstone to furthering his career this season. He's ranked No. 5 in the nation for rebounding but has given the team an additional spark in scoring and assists. He's expected to sign to a four-year school next month. Prewster and Co. leave Thursday for the postseason conference tourney where the Ravens will be seeded third.

Dion Prewster describes the weather in his hometown of Wellington, New Zealand as gloomy most of the time. His description apparently isn’t far off because a New Zealand website, although not going as far as calling the weather gloomy, did state there’s “moderately high rainfall.”

But it’s been anything but gloomy since the arrival of Prewster on the San Jacinto College basketball team’s roster because there’s been some moderately high rebounding and scoring totals coming from the sophomore.

MENS C GRADE WEEK 7

Hammertime Hawks donning their new uniforms finally ended Blazzin's winning streak last night with a comfortable 53-39 win, locking a 3-way 6-1 run with Morehu and Blazzin.
